Support for Socio-Economic and Disadvantaged Students

At Government College, Fatehabad (HQ), we are committed to ensuring inclusive access to higher education. Special provisions are in place to support students from economically weaker sections, socially disadvantaged backgrounds, and marginalized communities, in alignment with the Government of Haryana's policies.

1. Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Eligible students can apply for a range of scholarships and financial aid programs funded by the State Government, Central Government, and other recognized bodies. These include:

  • Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students

  • Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes (EBC)

  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarships

  • Scholarship for Minority Communities

2. Reservation in Admissions

Admissions are conducted as per the reservation policies prescribed by the Government of Haryana and implemented by the affiliating university. The following categories receive reservation benefits:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC)

  • Backward Classes (BC-A & BC-B)

  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)

  • Children of Ex-Servicemen, Freedom Fighters, and War Widows

  • Women Candidates (in applicable categories)

The percentage of reservation and eligibility criteria are strictly followed as per government norms, ensuring fair and equitable access for all deserving students.

3. Assistance During Admission
